In questo articolo l’autore indaga sugli statuti aretini precedenti alla data del 1327, quando fu composto il primo testo giuntoci integralmente. Utilizzando molti frammenti rintracciati in differenti archivi e mettendo a frutto le notizie sparse che si possono trovare nella documentazione, l’autore cerca di stabilire quante furono le redazioni che precedettero quella del 1327 e come erano composte, mostrando la possibile evoluzione della legislazione statutaria aretina su alcuni punti meglio documentati attraverso un percorso di oltre un secolo.

Dans cet article l’auteur recherches à propos des Statuts de la ville d’Arezzo avant le 1327, lorsque à été composé le premier texte, qui est nous arrivé intégralement. Avec l’utilisation de beaucoup de fragments, qui ont été trouvés dans différents archives, et avec les notices dispersées dans la documentation, l’auteur cherche d’établir combien de rédactions il y à eu avant de 1327 et leur composition. Il montre aussi l’évolution que la législation à pu avoir dans les statuts d’Arezzo à propos de quelque points qui sont mieux documentés dans en parcours plus long qu’un siècle.

In this article the author investigates the Aretine “statuti” (costitutional laws), which were written before the first complete text that we are in possession of, which is from 1327. Using a number of fragments discovered in different archives and the scattered information which can be found in several sources, the author tries to evaluate how many redactions there were prior to the 1327 text and how they were composed, showing the possible evolution of the Aretine constitutional laws concerning some better documented points through a journey more than a century long.
